Roger Moy considers himself a Chicagoan. Originally from the beach towns of Southern California, he moved to Chicago in 1973 to attend the School of The Art Institute of Chicago where he received a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1975.
While pursuing a career as a working artist and college instructor he took a 34- year detour into the bar business for both financial reasons and out of curiosity.
Roger now lives in Chicago with his wife, Deb, and their Doberman, Ruby. Roger produces art at his home studio, teaches art and conducts art therapy sessions in two Chicago treatment centers.
Sam is a very kind, gifted artist. We enjoyed working with Sam because of his talent and professionalism. Excited to see more of his creations and hard work come to life!
I met Sam months ago at a Starbucks in Houston where he was drawing some figures. I was working on a book and we struck up a conversation. I learned about his artistic background and purchased two pieces of art. What impresses me about Sam Gillis is the creative and varied artistic approaches in what he produces. His talent is obvious if you look at his portfolio of work. He is an artist worth following to see what he will be creating next.
Such beautiful art pieces. I enjoy looking at this page. Great people with professional attitudes running the page.
